About Me

Kia ora! My name is Aaron, and soccer has been a passion of mine since childhood. ​Originally from the U.K, I moved to New Zealand in 2012, where I discovered that ​what I've always known as football is lovingly referred to as soccer here.

Beyond the field, I've dedicated the past 13 years of my life to working with ​disabled individuals. Through this work, I've witnessed firsthand the gaps in ​opportunities for inclusion that exist. Soccer, to me, embodies the essence of the ​beautiful game—it's simple yet profound, requiring nothing more than a ball to ​ignite fitness, connection, teamwork, and a sense of belonging.

I hold an FA Level 1 coaching badge and have had the privilege of teaching soccer in ​schools in Sri Lanka. Combining my coaching experience with my deep ​understanding of the disability sector, I am passionate about creating a space on ​the North Shore where disabled individuals can come together to enjoy soccer.

My goal is to provide more than just a place to play; I aim to foster a community ​where everyone feels valued and empowered through the joy of soccer. I believe in ​the transformative power of sport and its ability to transcend barriers.
